Nevsehir University, Institute of Social Sciences in the Department of History has founded in the 2008-2009 academic year and the doctoral program has opened in the academic year of 2011-2012, since then the students are being accepted. The language of education is Turkish. |

For the Master and PhD programs, to have a Bachelors degree in the specified fields (graduation Point), ALES and foreign language test results are calculated and and number of candidates as specified in the anouncement are accepted as actual and substitute students. Documents needed for the registration; 1 – Bachelor’s Diploma, 2 – ALES Result. 3 – Original ID Card 4 – Foreign Language Result ( ÜDS, KPDS etc.) 5 – Military Service Document. 6 – CV |
The recognition of the previous education is at the stage of beginning in the Turkish Educational institutions. For this reason, the recognition of the previous education has not been started in all the programs of Nevşehir University. |
To get 2.00 grade point average out of 4.00 in order to complete all the available courses at the program successfully. The student, who gets 118 ECTS from available post-graduate courses of the department or other departments which are related and complete them all successfully, gets 70 general point average out of 100 and then presents his/her thesis in front of jury successfully, is given the degree of Phd |
Our program consists of academicians who are experts on their own fields and the necessary studies are conducted with the lessons. The study fields of our department are Ancient History, Medieval History, Early Modern History, Modern History and the History of the Turkish Republic. The aim is to develop the skills of analyzing, synthesizing, evaluating, to produce an original scientific study by using the researching methods and to transmit what he knows as an individual who carries all the responsibilities given by the law. The wish is to provide continuous success for the students in their working fields, both in the private and governmental sectors, especially for the ones who become teachers in their fields. At the same time the aim is to raise our students as experts in their fields of history who are talented on both national and international levels |
