VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES / GERIATRICS

History

The Incekara Elderly Care Department was founded in 1992 carrying out its activities under Erciyes İncekara Nevsehir University Health Services Vocational School 1992-1993 academic year, depending on the Erciyes University was opened in our city. Students in 1993-1994 academic ignoring the current students have been transplanted, Erciyes University, Halil Bayraktar Health Services Vocational School. Student in our school not in later years, in 2007 with the establishment of the University of Nevsehir Nevsehir is connected to the University, Nevsehir University İncekara Health Services Vocational School Aged Care Program 2010-2011 academic year has started training as a pre-formal education at the undergraduate level. Education language is Turkish.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are registered to the faculties, higher schools and vocational higher education, in accordance with the principles adopted by the Board of Higher Education and Intercollegiate. Exam results of students according to their score will enter the preferences section by ordering the preferred forms, the student selection and placement centre (SSPC) send. SSPC will request the registration process by the university students placed in a program. Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning process of the Turkish Higher Education System in its early stage. For this reason, recognition of prior learning, Nevşehir University, in all the programs are not fully initialized. However, plans for training programs for the computer and English courses such as the exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term. This course provides the expected learning outcomes of students who have the right to take the exams. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to obtain bachelor’s degree students in the front section of the Aged Care program of required and elective courses (a total of 120 ECTS) and successfully complete all of the grade point average on a 4.00 weighted grade point average of at least 2.0 would need to achieve.


Profile of The Programme

The main objective of Aged Care division, the elderly individual's physical, mental and social aspects of maintenance work in accordance with specified requirements, bringing elderly care business, family and the community to participate in the home or institution, in collaboration with health team members, older individuals who provide care to train graduates. Department of Elderly Care, internal and external activities and tasks, depending on the framework of the vision is drawn through the dean and the rector shall be executed by the parent organizations. Department of Elderly Care, educates students to be employed in many areas of elderly care is given. Stakeholders interact, and interaction is required the Department of Elderly Care Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Security Ministry, in particular the Directorate of Social Services, Public and private nursing homes / nursing homes / rehabilitation centres, Universities, Research Institutions Health-load Schools, Alumni, Summarized in the form of individuals and Families. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Classes of students at the beginning of each period for entry into the register and the final examination of at least 70% of the courses, applications must be continued for at least 80%. Students for each course at least 1 midterm and final exam are subjected to. The department of education and training activities are carried out with 3 instructors. Lectures in our department with 45 person’s capacity and the projection are carried out in classrooms.The department is open during the day students can make use of the internet as a laboratory for free.
